Job Description:

• Cognitive Clinical Management:
  • Perform and document history & physical examination
  • Formulate differential diagnosis*
  • Develops and documents initial plan of care*
  • Modifies daily plan of care*
  • Writes daily progress notes
  • Obtain and document informed consent
  • Order appropriate referrals*
  • Order appropriate investigations*
  • Interpret laboratory & radiology results*
  • Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*
  • Order appropriate medication and other orders*
  • Prepare an appropriate discharge summary
• Clinical Non-invasive Management:
  • Perform daily management and dressing for tracheostomy tubes
  • Perform digital rectal examination
  • Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  • Orders, adjusts artificial feeding modalities*
  • Does dressing of wound, etc.
  • Assesses for progress & effectiveness of treatment
  • Monitor clinical status on a day to day basis
  • Responds to the patient calls and provide the required medical care*
• Clinical Invasive Management:
  • Performs nasogastric intubation
  • Inserts urethral catheter.
  • Post operative care.
• General Responsibilities:
  • Follow the Duties and responsibilities of the physician in general (as given in Doctor’s Handbook)
  • To abide by the policies laid down by the Infection Control Committee.
  • Follow the protocols and policies as stated in the Doctor’s handbook

Job Description:

• Responsible to receive the patient and implement the prescribed treatment of each patient.
• Responsible to explain the procedure of treatment to the patient
• Responsible to maintain individual record of patient while implementing the prescribed treatment of each patient
• Responsible to assist the Chief Physiotherapist in various procedures
• Responsible to teach and demonstrate exercises to the patient and their attenders
• To go on rounds with the doctors and also individually.
• Responsible to maintain and operate the machines under charge and coordinate with the biomedical department for the maintenance of equipment and also with other departments.
• Monitoring and evaluating patients’ progress
• Working with patients on a one-to-one basis, and in groups, to deliver therapy
• Writing and maintaining confidential patient case notes and reports, as well as information for patients, carers and other professionals
• Managing a caseload taking account of priority cases, waiting lists, successful outcomes, referral and discharge of service users
• Working with others to improve the effectiveness of service delivery.
• Responsible to maintain the area in order, neat and tidy.
• Responsible to train nurses and department assistants.
• Responsible for training juniors and interns in the department.

• Responsible to conduct initial screening and more detail assessment if indicated, in the areas of memory, cognition and executive functions to determine the impact of changes in these areas on the ability to resume daily functions.
• Responsible to maintain and operate the machines under charge and coordinate with the biomedical department for the maintenance of the equipment and also with other departments.

Job Description:

• Identifying speech and communication difficulties/disorders
• Assessing and treating swallowing and communication difficulties arising from a range of causes, e.g. congenital problems (such as cleft palate) or acquired disorders after a stroke or injury
• Devising, implementing and revising relevant treatment programmes;
• Advising carers on implementing treatment programmes and training other professionals in therapy delivery
• Assessing communication environments
